Vehicle Description 1984 Ford F150; Short bed, 4x4, 302 V8, 4 speed.
This truck was purchased roughly 8 years ago from the third owner.
It had roughly 50,000 miles on it when he bought the truck.
It was a southern truck for most of it's life until coming north to CT in 2013.
Although rust free, and aside from regular oil changes, the truck needed some work in terms of oil seals and other bits.
Being a car guy, the current owner jumped into fixing all these little bits as he enjoyed driving it.
The truck now has just 63,000 miles on it and has a lot done over the last few years.
Some of the first things he did were to fix the differential oil seals, brakes, tires, and some minor appearance items like trim and weather stripping.
He had the transmission pulled a few years ago and rebuilt and after reinstalling the 4 speed manual transmission, the engine (which had some oil leaks of it's own) blew a head gasket.
After looking at his options, he found it would be about equal money to simply purchase a new crate motor from Jasper Engines and have that installed.
That engine, a 302 V8, was installed in 2016 and still has the Jasper warranty attached to it.
It is carburated, not fuel injected.
There is a book of receipts that also goes with the truck, numbering in the thousands of dollars.
Just last year, dues to some failing clear coat, the truck was pulled apart and repainted.
Not wanting to go show with the frame, it was sprayed with a coat of NH Coatings rust proof/undercoat before the repainted body was reset back into place.
It was repainted in the original Dark Metallic Blue with White.
This truck runs and drives beautifully, the true dual exhaust note sounds great, brakes work great and do not pull.
The interior is also in very good condition having been painted and the floor coated in a roll on bed liner, matching the liner in the bed of the truck.
Original style vinyl mats are in place over the coated floor.
From the factory, despite being a base model, work truck, it did have AC, power brakes and power steering.
When the engine cam out, the AC condensor did not get reinstalled (the AC was not working), but it comes with the truck should the new owner want to reinstall, recharge and get the AC functional again.
The seat was upholstered in the original blue vinyl.
The 4x4 is the twin traction beam set up and runs power to both axles via an NP 208 transfer case, the rear axle an open, Ford 9 with 3:
55 gears, the front a Dana 44, also open.
Overall, this is a condition 2, show quality short bed Ford F150.
It checks off all the boxes; 4x4, Short Bed, 4 speed manual transmission, V8.
These are now seen as collector's items as well as an alternative to buying an overpriced brand new F150 for nearly twice the price.
This one is being offered at a market correct $28,500 Any questions, to schedule a time to see it in person or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the interest!.
