Summary:
Our vibrant and welcoming church community is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Part-Time Program and Event Coordinator.
This position plays a pivotal role in fostering a sense of community, organizing events, and coordinating volunteers to support the diverse needs of our congregation.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about community engagement, possess excellent organizational skills, and be adept at working with individuals of all ages.
Hours:
20 hours per week on site.
Days of the week:
Tuesdays 9:
00am-4:
00pm.
Other days/times are flexible and some work from home hours may be negotiable after three months.
The schedule will include evenings and weekends based on the timing of church events and activities.
Pay is $22.
00/hour with opportunity for adjustment based on demonstrated experience.
Responsibilities:
Volunteer Coordination:
Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers for various church activities and ministries.
Maintain a database of available volunteers and their skills, ensuring appropriate placement for events and projects.
Foster a positive and inclusive volunteer culture within the church community.
Event Planning:
Collaborate with church staff and the Fellowship Committee to plan and execute a variety of events, including receptions, coffee hour, social gatherings, community outreach programs, and special occasions.
Develop creative and engaging activities that cater to diverse age groups within the congregation.
Communication:
Effectively communicate with church members, volunteers, and staff to provide information about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and relevant updates.
Utilize various communication channels, including social media, newsletters, and announcements, to keep the community informed.
All-Age Engagement:
Collaborate with church leaders and educators to create and implement programs that engage individuals of all ages.
Facilitate intergenerational activities that promote a sense of unity and shared community values.
Actively seek feedback and input from different age groups to ensure inclusive and diverse programming.
Qualifications:
Ability to work collaboratively, and independently.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Willingness to learn new systems Communicate effectively and kindly with our ministry partners, parishioners, and visitors alike.
Previous experience in event planning and volunteer coordination is a plus.
Knowledge of the Episcopal Church is preferred.
Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening and weekend events.
The selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a background check and will be required to do SafeChurch training within 3 months of commencement of employment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
