We offer our clients a range of installation services including Installation of Architectural Millwork, Architectural Casework, and Laboratory Casework.
To facilitate our continuing growth, we're currently accepting applications for a Project Accountant to join our dynamic management team and service our clients throughout New England & New York.
This position will be based out of our headquarters office in Essex, CT.
Job Description:
As a part of our Management & Operations Team, the Project Accountant is responsible for providing high level financial analysis on a portfolio of projects throughout their life cycle.
Must thoroughly understand the financial components of a project and proactively work with Project Managers to monitor and analyze project performance against budget.
The Project Accountant is also responsible for accurate project set up in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
Responsibilities will include:
Coordinate with Estimating & Management for project start-up to establish project specific Schedule of Values.
Work with project management to track project completion and process monthly AIA requisitions accordingly.
Work closely with management to track project performance vs project budget.
Identify potential profit erosion scenarios and collaborate with management to create prevention strategies.
Process and submit contract change requests for additional work performed.
Collaborate with Project Management and track Change Orders for additional work and bill accordingly.
Aid Project Managers with cost to complete financial forecasts and task breakdown for project setup to effectively manage projects.
Track and provide insurance certificates for each project.
Create financial reports to track progress on the health of projects for monthly project status review meetings with Management Team & Ownership.
Track and manage Accounts Receivable.
Reconcile accounts monthly Track and manage tax payments
Qualifications:
3 Years related experience is desired.
Accounting Software experience is desired.
Applicant should be an outgoing, organized, and detail-oriented person.
Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work with and build relationships with a wide variety of people.
Strong English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (excel is a must).
Ability to shift gears and get up-to-speed quickly on new tasks.
